ProductOwnerTerms of use
These terms are the agreement between your organisation and LotfyTech LLC for using ProductOwner, the software you install on your own server.
1. Who we are
ProductOwner is made by LotfyTech LLC, Charles Town, West Virginia, USA (“we”, “us”). “You” means the organisation that installs or uses ProductOwner, and the people it lets use it.
2. The licence
When you've paid for a licence, we give you a licence file. It allows the number of people and the parts of ProductOwner it names, until its end date. You may install and use ProductOwner on servers you control, for your organisation's own work, and make backups. People you invite as clients don't count towards the number of people unless your licence says otherwise.
A new install runs as a free trial for the time shown in the app. When a trial or licence ends, ProductOwner becomes read-only: everyone can still sign in, read and export everything, but nothing can be changed until a licence is added. We never delete your data.
3. What you may not do
- Share, sell or rent your licence file, or use it for more people than it allows.
- Change, work around or remove the licence check.
- Copy ProductOwner to offer it as a service to other organisations, unless we agree in writing.
- Reverse-engineer the software, except where the law allows it.
4. Your data
Everything your team puts in ProductOwner is stored on your server and belongs to you. We don't receive it. If you connect other services (a code host, email, company sign-in, or an AI provider such as Anthropic for the PO agent), data goes from your server to those services under your own agreements with them. 5. Updates and support
While your licence is valid you may install new versions. Support is by email at [email protected]. We aim to answer within two working days; faster support can be agreed in writing.
6. Payment
Prices and payment terms are on your quote or invoice. Licences are paid in advance. If you don't renew, the licence ends on its end date as described in section 2.
7. Ownership
We own ProductOwner and its name. The licence gives you the right to use it; it doesn't transfer ownership. Open-source parts included in ProductOwner are under their own licences, listed with each release.
8. No warranty
We work hard to make ProductOwner reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. You are responsible for your server, its security and your backups (ProductOwner includes backup and restore tools).
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for ProductOwner in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using ProductOwner at any time. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms and don't fix it within 30 days of our notice. Sections 4, 7, 8, 9 and 11 continue after the agreement ends.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, USA. If a signed contract or purchase order with us says something different, the signed document wins.
12. Changes
We may update these terms for new versions; the date at the top shows the current version. Changes don't apply to a licence you've already paid for until it renews.
